Knott County Trail Riders

Club Rules

 

 

v     Anyone who wishes to join our club may contact any of the club officers, or come to a regular club meeting.

 

v     Anyone who wishes to join our club must fill out an application form.

 

v     No alcohol or non-prescription (illegal) drugs on sanctioned rides sponsored by the club, (subject to automatic dismissal).

 

v     No profanity to be used by any riders in the presence of others.

 

v     All riders must adhere to all state laws and/or rules by private landowners.

 

v     No reckless operation, which would put other riders or their property in danger.

 

v     Users must respect said property by preventing damage to gates, cables, signage, etc.

 

v     Absolutely no littering on property or on trails.

 

v     ATV and motorcycle users must stay on the trails, no cutting or making new trails.

 

v     Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

 

v     Helmets are required pursuant to KRS 189.515. Protective gear including, but not limited to those items listed by the manufacturer and the ATV Safety Institute is strongly recommended.

 

v     There will be no toleration for fighting. Any violation of this rule will result in being banned from the property and possibly being arrested.

 

v     The KCTR is neither liable nor responsible for damage, loss, or theft of personal property or injury to Members or Visitors.

 

v     All operator and passengers of cars, trucks, buggies, etc., designated for on or off road use must wear safety belts while vehicle is being operated. Infants and children must be restrained in legally required child safety seats.

 

v     All Off-Road Vehicle drivers and riders should follow the manufacture's safe operating procedures. Please be sure that your ORV has the appropriate equipment needed to operate on the rough terrain in the park.
 

v     The KCTR Board must approve any new trails, outdoor fire areas, or camping/campsite areas.

 

v     All riders should use designated entrances.

 

v     All Vehicles must have front & rear lights if driving at night.

 

v     Camping/Campsites must be in designated areas only.

 

v     Fires must be restricted to designated areas only.

 

v     Firearms are allowed if you have proper licenses to carry in the state(s) you are riding.

 

v     The Board must approve all special events including vendors.

 

v     Pets should be kept on leash at all times.

 

v     The terrain in constantly changing. Check each hill. Ride all trails with caution.

 

v     Stay within the boundaries of the KCTR Trails. Do not enter any property not sponsors by the KCTR. Do not enter any posted areas that are not open by the KCTR.

 

v     (Rules subject to change).

 

v     Any club member who violates these rules is subject to dismissal upon the first offense.

 

 

 

 

 



 

 

 

 

While we are an all-volunteer organization, we do reserve the right to ask anyone that poses a safety risk to themselves or others, disobeys the rules (group, trail, state or federal law, etc.), or otherwise causes a disturbance,  to leave group sponsored events and / or to discontinue their membership and use of resources (depending on the violation).
