By-Laws
Article I
Official name of the Corporation shall be Knott County Trail Riders, Inc.
Article II
Membership
· Membership shall consist of the following without regard to sex, race, or religious beliefs
· Any person who shares an interest in the Knott County Trail Riders, Inc. goals may apply for membership in the organization.
· The Board of Directors may vote to revoke an individual’s membership.
· Individual Membership is for individuals 18 years of age and over.
· Family Membership consists of the primary member, spouse and any children living in the same household.
· Membership is open to all ATV owners and enthusiasts who file a membership form and return it to a club officer, agree on the club purpose, and pay one year dues.
· A member may resign from the club at any time upon written notice to the treasurer.
Article III
Yearly membership
Family members listed on a family membership plan must live in the household.
The club shall meet at 6:00 p.m. on the second Monday of every month.
The annual election of the club will be held on the third Thursday in May.
Executive Board & Board Member
· The Executive Board (president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary) must be a resident of Knott County, Kentucky.
To run for office & vote
Article IX
Three officers of the Executive Board must be present at a meeting to conduct business.
No less than two officers of the Executive Board must sign all financial transfers.
Honorary & reduce membership.
· Honorary membership will be voted on by the members.
· Honorary membership is good for one year.
· Honorary membership can only be received once in a lifetime.
· Any EMS / Military person (EMT, Firefighter, Police) receive membership at reduce rate set by the Executive Board.
· EMS / Military has to be in good standing, active, or retired.
